What Clients are saying about EYFP
"Hi, my name is Mrs K. My husband and I just came back from your pantry and unloaded the food you gave us. Everything was absolutely wonderful. Of course, we tasted the pastries, the cupcakes and cookies first. Thank you for allowing us to come to your pantry and have food. We really appreciate it. Everybody was very kind and pleasant." ~~ First time client - 7/9/22 guest

"My name is Scott & I came back to your pantry on Thursday. My wife and I are having a tough time. Everything is so expensive, especially with 3 kids. We've tried other pantries. A lot of what you get is junk. Everything we brought home from there was good quality. And the people are so nice. Thank you." ~~ 7/7/22 guest

"Thank you so much! My kids were beyond excited, and I was relieved in a way I can't quite articulate.
As a college graduate with a degree in journalism, who is married to someone with a JD, I suppose I had many preconceived and, in hindsight, ignorant notions of what predisposes anyone to the risk of food insecurity. I feel humbled, incredibly grateful, and hopeful my family will find a way to give back as heartily as we have received. Best, Kate" ~~ First time client w/extensive medical bills ~~8/2/22 guest

DuPage Health Coalition - Free Pharmacy and more...
The DuPage Health Coalition is a non-profit organization, operates several programs that keep residents healthy, regardless of their ability to pay. Guided by the belief that everyone deserves equitable and generous access to healthcare. We are a partnership of hospitals, doctors and community organizations working together to offer efficient and effective healthcare, making it easier for low-income families to receive high quality healthcare. Some programs are targeted to families who do not have a pathway to health insurance, and others for folks who do have pathways to insurance but whose income is low enough that they benefit from extra help paying for the premiums for their coverage.
Medicaid- Our team is assisting families to register to Medicaid- Health Benefit Coverage for Immigrant Adults (HBIA) to begin at age 42 through age 64 regardless of their immigration status. They screen patients to see if they are eligible for state Medicaid. If eligible I help from start to finish, which means processing the application and getting a response from the state. I am including a link that expands about the program https://www2.illinois.gov/hfs/HealthBenefitsForImmigrants/Pages/default.aspx
(I am including a flyer as an attachment).
Medical Debt Relief Program- DuPage Health Coalition is launching a new medical debt relief program. This program helps relieve any medical bills, past, or present, including those in collections.
