EYFP Response to COVID-19

In this video she produced for the Elmhurst Public Library, EYFP volunteer Jenn Toffler talks about the assistance available for those who need help as well as ways to get involved for those who are able to help.

EYFP has shifted to modified services for the food pantry. This is not a decision we take lightly but we do have to weigh the health and safety of all we serve as well as our volunteers.


We have implemented Modified Client Service Procedures in order to maintain a healthy environment for our clients and volunteers. The food pantry will be open for regular hours, with pick-up service in our parking lot. Clients are asked to remain in their cars for service.

EYFP is still accepting donations of non-perishable food, toiletry, and paper products. However, monetary donations will be most helpful to aid us in our ability to source much needed inventory. Click here to make a gift.

We care about our community and want everyone to be safe. We encourage everyone to follow good health practices as outlined by the CDC:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

  • Do not touch your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
